Plastic recycling

Sorting, upcycling, and circular partnerships with FMCG and logistics.

Plastic Recycling – Reimagining Waste as a Resource, Plastic is everywhere—from packaging and textiles to electronics and construction. But its durability comes at a cost: most plastics don’t biodegrade, and without proper recycling, they persist in landfills, oceans, and ecosystems for centuries.
At OG Plaanet, we believe that plastic doesn’t have to be permanent pollution. Through innovative recycling solutions, we’re turning discarded plastic into raw material for a cleaner, circular economy.

What We Recycle

  • PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) – water bottles, food containers
  • HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) – detergent bottles, pipes
  • LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) – plastic bags, shrink wraps
  • PP (Polypropylene) – straws, bottle caps, automotive parts
  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) – pipes, cables, medical equipment
  • Polystyrene – packaging foam, disposable cutlery

How Plastic Recycling Works

  • Collection & Sorting
Waste is gathered from households, industries, and institutions, then sorted by polymer type and color.
  • Cleaning & Shredding
Contaminants are removed, and plastics are shredded into flakes or pellets.
  • Melting & Reforming
Clean plastic is melted and molded into new products—like furniture, tiles, packaging, and construction materials.
  • Advanced Recovery
In some cases, chemical recycling breaks plastic down into its original monomers for reuse in high-grade applications.

Why It Matters

  • Reduces Pollution: Prevents plastic from entering landfills and oceans
  • Conserves Resources: Cuts down on fossil fuel use in virgin plastic production
  • Supports Circular Economy: Turns waste into raw material for new products
  • Boosts ESG Compliance: Helps companies meet Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and sustainability goals

Despite global efforts, only 9% of plastic waste has been recycled historically. OG Plaanet is committed to changing that—by making plastic recycling efficient, scalable, and accessible.

Who We Work With

  • FMCG and packaging companies
  • Manufacturing units and SEZs
  • Municipal bodies and smart cities
  • Schools, colleges, and housing societies

We offer end-to-end solutions including EPR compliance, reverse logistics, and community awareness drives.

Innovation in Action

OG Plaanet is exploring:

  • Decentralized recycling hubs in urban clusters
  • AI-powered sorting systems for better material recovery
  • Upcycled product lines from recycled plastic waste
  • Partnerships with ragpicker networks for inclusive impact
